Stream Restoration

At Coldwater Consulting, our approach to stream restoration is a holistic one.  Our typical restoration project begins with a search for project funding and doesn’t end until post-construction monitoring is completed.  We take these projects on whole-heartedly and strive for the development of a successful, sustainable solution through all phases of the project.  We understand the importance of an interdisciplinary team, the need for positive relationships between clients and contractors, and how imperative it is for a consulting firm to take true ownership of a project.  We take an adaptive approach to design and implementation of ecological restoration projects, building flexibility into design and construction aspects of the project.  This eliminates “over-design," allows for field adjustments that are often necessary during restoration projects, and promotes a positive and healthy relationship between team members.  Our scientists have used this approach to help clients restore over 40 miles of streams.

Our stream restoration service offerings include:

  • Site Assessment & Geomorphology
  • Habitat Assessment
  • Invasive Species Assessment & Removal
  • Hydrologic & Hydraulic Analysis
